Mohini Tangri, CEO
Mohini is an attorney with technical expertise who works on one problem: how people seeking legal aid get through the door. She has spent more than two years designing and evaluating client intake for legal aid organizations. At Haven, she led intake redesigns for Legal Aid Chicago, the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, and Florida Rural Legal Services. In each, she worked directly with intake staff to map how intake actually ran, rebuild screening questions around each program’s own eligibility and priority rules, and refine the process based on live results. At Legal Aid Chicago, her reorganization of intake helped lead to the result that calls rejected as out of priority after full intake fell from 46% to 21%.

Deborah Jacob, CTO and Engineering Team Lead
Deborah is a software engineer with 10 years of experience and an M.S. from NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (2023). She uses her expertise to focus on the systems behind legal aid intake: LegalServer configuration and data, phone and call-center systems, online intake, and the privacy and security of client information. Deborah previously built infra for 911 order provisioning at Verizon, where she developed her skills turning  messy data into organized baselines and communicating technically complex ideas to non-technical colleagues.
